Deutsche Telekom For
Mobile virtual network operators

Deutsche Telekom is one of the world's leading integrated telecommunications companies. We operate mobile networks in 13 European countries, as well as the U.S.

Our mission is to become the leading European telecommunications company. Digital transformation brings new opportunities for users worldwide and high-performance networks are essential to delivering these benefits to customers. Deutsche Telekom has been investing in its networks for over 20 years. We are a pioneer in the virtual operator field and host a number of the world's most successful Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs).

Winning with partners is at the heart of our strategy. Working with MVNOs is part of our partnering program. With our extensive knowledge, we give our partners the support they need to operate successfully in the telecommunications space.

Selected Segments

In our MVNO setup, partners provide mobile services under their own brand, while using our networks.

By combining partner assets with our infrastructure, our partners’ products and services become more compelling and existing assets can be monetized.

Channel Play

Channel Play
  • Leverage established sales channels and increase point-of-sale footfall
  • Exploit revenues from mobile services and devices
  • Improve loyalty of customer base with cross-segment/category campaigns

Segment Play

Segment Play
  • Target well-defined segments, e.g., ethnic communities, with individual mobile services
  • Monetize own assets, such as international calling routes and customer base
  • Serve your customer base with integrated services

Product Play

Product Play
  • Improve product appeal, e.g., by bundling devices and connectivity
  • Offer advanced data services, e.g., M2M, maintenance service
  • Add continuous service revenues to one-time device sale revenues

Business Models

We work with a large variety of business models that complement our partners' assets, competencies and investments.

Business models within our European markets range from brand licensing/branded reselling to national roaming – and include various models in between. In the former case, we provide operational management for the whole mobile service delivery process and rely on our partners' branding and marketing assets. In the latter case, our partners run their own mobile (core) network and potentially make use of their own spectrum.

Together with our partners, we select the most appropriate commercial and technical set-up for our joint projects.
